How Long Does it Take For Bad Credit History to Clear?

It takes seven years for bad marks to age off of your credit history, unless of course you claim bankruptcy in which case it takes ten years. This may make it seem like any goals you may have to obtain a high credit score are pointless, however even with bad marks on your report you can still build up a good payment history and get a better rating. Even with the blackest mark possible, which would be bankruptcy, after two years of solid work paying things on time on a variety of accounts you can have a decent rating again. Don’t let bad marks on your history stop you from getting a better rating.
